Responsibilities include developing business requirements, technical assessments, and project scope, as well as designing documents, testing strategies, and plans. The role also involves supporting and maintaining Hyperion Planning and Essbase applications, conducting unit and system tests, managing UAT, and executing security changes. Additionally, the candidate will assist in budget development, quarterly forecast, and monthly reporting procedures, provide end-user support during budget cycles, and extract security reports for audit purposes.

Responsibilities
•Develop and assist with creating business requirements, technical assessments, project scope, estimates of effort and duration
•Develop design documents, testing strategy and plan, test scripts
•Conduct, assist with, and/or manage unit, system tests and UAT
•Support and maintain the Hyperion Planning and Essbase applications, metadata, business rules and calculations, web forms, data integration from source systems, mappings, financial reporting, user access and security, as well as enhancing functionality when needed to meet budget, forecast and reporting requirements, including the following tasks:
oDevelop and maintain web forms, business rules/calculation scripts, task lists and other Hyperion Planning and Essbase artifacts
oDevelop and maintain reports using Hyperion Financial Reporting and Smart View
oMaintenance of the Development, SIT, UAT and Production environments including preparing system documentation and executing testing of Oracle upgrades and patches. This also includes restoring data/backups when needed
oPerform artifacts migration between environments, including metadata and data synchronization
oExecute security changes in Planning and Essbase ensuring that proper approvals are obtained
oMaintenance of the Essbase ASO database for reporting, and reporting mapping
oDocument, test and maintain all Planning and Essbase dimensions, metadata and rules changes related to the chart of accounts (CoA), entities, scenarios, versions and custom members
oMaintenance of the FDMEE/ODI application which provides automated upload connectivity between Oracle Finance and Hyperion Planning/Essbase to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the financial information transferred between systems. FDMEE is also used to load data from HCM (HR data) and Workbrain (capitalization data) into Hyperion
oExecute the manual upload of spreadsheet data where systems are not connected and provide administrative/technical support to the automation of the manual processes
oPerform code fixes, following change management and ITIL
oPerform and validate data loads from source systems
oPerform unit testing, SIT and UAT testing, and document testing plan, testing script and results
oPrepare production deployment plan for approved changes, including rollback plan
•Assists in the annual budget development, quarterly forecast and monthly period-end reporting procedures including data preparation, process management and update of system task flows
•Provide end-user support during the budget and forecast cycles, troubleshooting issues/problems from internal stakeholders (e.g., cost centre managers)
•Extract security reports from Shared Services when required for audit purposes
Qualifications
Education:
• Degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent work experience
Experience/skills required:
•A minimum of 10 years of experience as an Oracle Hyperion Senior Consultant with at least 3 large implementations end-to-end
•Architect experience designing, building and implementing complex Hyperion Planning modules for Workforce, Expense, Revenue and allocations
•Knowledge and hands-on use of FDMEE, Hyperion Planning, Essbase, SmartView and Financial Reporting. Strong experience in the development of Business Rules, Essbase, python scripts, calc Scripts and Maxl
•Hyperion Essbase and/or Planning certification is an asset
•Proven experience in independently dealing with business users
•Hands-on experience with troubleshooting application and data issues
•Analyze release notes and provide direction to the business about changes due to patches
•Log Oracle Service Requests and gather details and data for Oracle Service Request
•Good knowledge of Oracle Hyperion architecture
•Participate in regular team and business meetings
•Extremely detail-oriented, and able to produce accurate, precise work under minimal supervision and tight deadlines
•Able to take initiative to research and gather information
•Strong time management skills and attention to detail
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
