LARGE VESSEL - ENGINEER

The Role:

As a result of our robust growth, we are adding a Engineer to our team of professionals in our St. George, NB office. This position will report and work directly with the Vessel Captain

Primary duties are (not limited to):

Safe and economical operations of all machinery on the vessel.Proper maintenance of all machinery on the vessel.Performs troubleshooting, and problem solving as well as preventative and corrective maintenance to prevent downtime and to ensure the efficient and continual functioning of the vessel.Environmental managementMonitoring of bunkers and lubricants.Maintain accurate records and other duties as assigned.

  Qualifications/Requirements/Attributes:

Third-Class Engineer Certificate issued by Transport Canada.SCTW Motor Certificate.Strong in sense of responsibility and pride in the overall condition of machinery.Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.Experienced with Safety Management Systems.Valid Marine Basic First Aid or Advanced First Aid and CPR.Valid Seafarers Medical Certificate.Valid Canadian Passport with the ability to enter the US.A certification in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods will be considered an asset.As per company policy, a clear result of a pre-employment criminal background check.First Aid and CPR.Valid Seafarers Medical Certificate.Valid Canadian Passport with the ability to enter the US.A certification in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods will be considered an asset.As per company policy, a clear result of a pre-employment criminal background check.
