Overview:
PGI has an immediate opening for an Analyst in our Commercial Services group. This role is based in Calgary, Alberta and reports to the Director of Commercial Services.
One of North Americas largest private gas gathering and processing businesses with over 5 bcf/d of gas processing infrastructure, PGI is focused on delivering customer focused, sustainable midstream solutions throughout Western Canada. Our owners, Pembina and KKR, are committed to PGI’s growth and establishment as one of the premier midstream organizations in Canada. PGI has a dedicated management team, with key support services being provided through Pembina.
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:- Analyze business and industry metrics, research key market drivers and customer activities, and perform ad-hoc analysis as required;
- Monitor and evaluate producer information and industry trends, identification of expansion or exploitation opportunities;
- Analyze and develop commercial proposals and agreements;
- Coordinate and prepare management and customer presentations;
- Review or prepare modifications and extensions to contracts for existing customers;
- Collaborate with internal departments regarding commercial agreements to ensure all contract terms are being adhered to;
- Coordinate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations on best practices and procedures related to commercial agreements;
- Assist the commercial team with planning and forecasting;
- Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace;

- Post-secondary Degree in Commerce or Engineering with 5+ years experience in the energy industry, preferably in engineering and project development and/or joint venture or marketing space;
- Broad understanding of midstream and industry operations, engineering, production, and financial accounting;
- Strong analytical skills with solid business and financial acumen, familiarity with economic analysis of alternatives and selection of premium opportunities;
- Communication skills, both written and verbal, along with demonstrated analytical skills are critical;
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain strong internal and external relationships;
- Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational and time management skills;
- Strong knowledge of all MS Office tools;
- Experience with AccuMap and/or geoSCOUT is considered an asset;
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and understand contract conditions;
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion;
- Energetic, resilient, collaborative, and goal oriented; and
- Must be able to take direction but also able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
