Are you a 3rd or 4th year student currently enrolled in a post-secondary program and ready to launch your career in insurance?

As a HUB Intern, you will have a chance to work with our exceptional Employee Benefits National Accounts team who specialize in developing holistic employee benefit plans to tailor to the changing needs of organizations and their employees. We provide on-the-job training and hands-on experience to help you learn about our business. You will work closely with various HUB team members, gain skills in sales and client service, and experience a challenging and fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct day-to-day problem-solving support for clients in relation to their group benefits programs. Assist client communication through drafting of formal letters, presentations, reports, and virtual and in-person meetings. Help review contracts when required. Perform data entry to support quarterly and annual financial analysis for a broad range of clients in a variety of industry sectors. Gain insight and build knowledge of our organization, its services, people and purpose.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook. 3rd or 4th year student currently enrolled in a post-secondary university or college program. Open to students in programs related but not limited to Human Resources, Marketing, Mathematics and Commerce. A self-starter with a strong desire to learn about employee benefits and the insurance industry. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask. A team player with a desire to collaborate and assist others. Enthusiasm to learn and be mentored by experienced professionals. Ability to work independently when needed. Effective prioritization skills. A positive attitude that values teamwork and continuous learning.

This is a full-time, paid, 17-week internship from May-August.

Compensation:

The expected hourly range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
