Long-Term Temporary Position

Hourly rate ranging from $40.86 to $46.42 - Unionized

The work location is at Nunavik and the normal work schedule is on a rotation of 6 weeks: 3 weeks worked (84 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 3 weeks for rest.

Future challenges

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Concentrator Operator is responsible for the various ore monitoring and processing operations. The main responsibilities of the job are:

Ensure the proper operation of the concentrator equipment in all sectors (crushing, flotation, reagents, control room, presses, thickeners).Perform routine checks and inspections on the concentrator equipment.Maintain the various equipment of the concentrator in a clean and safe condition.Apply health, safety and environmental rules and guidelines.Carry out any other tasks required in relation to the position.

Profile Sought

Professional study diploma in Machine operations, mineral and metal processing combined with any relevant experience.Experience in operating an industrial process (mining/concentrator, metals, pulp and paper, chemical/petrochemical).Ability to identify and diagnose troubleshoot breakdowns and problems encountered with the various equipment.Valid driver's license.
