Wood is currently recruiting for a Junior (EIT) Structural Engineer . This position will be seated within our St. John's, NL office and will be part of the structural engineering team delivering projects in the Power & Process industry. 

Within this role you will be involved with structural analysis and designs of steel and reinforced concrete for buildings, equipment foundations, substation structures / foundations, pipe racks, miscellaneous structures, tank foundations, and design of building envelope including roofing and walls.

You will work closely with the team, in a supportive environment, while receiving guidance, direction, and mentorship to help build your skills and understanding of engineering methods and best practices. 


University degree in civil engineering Eligible or registered as an Engineer-in-training (EIT) 0-5 years of experience with eagerness to learn Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organization skills to handle multiple projects and tasks  Ability to work independently and cooperatively with others  Excellent oral and written English communication skills are mandatory Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate across the project / contract interfaces Skills in Staad Foundation, Risa 3D, , AutoCad, and 3D Cad modeling will be considered an asset Must be a Canadian citizen or authorized to work lawfully in Canada, without sponsorship from Wood
