Major Job Functions

Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail Troubleshoot and repair Caterpillar equipment Perform field diagnosis and field running repairs Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes) Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team Work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required

Specific Skills & Experience

Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification is required Minimum 1 year experience as a Heavy Duty Technician Valid drivers license with a successful recent driver abstract is required Solid understanding of Caterpillar product line and experience working with mining equipment in the field environment will be required Completion or in the process of completing Finning S-level courses would also be considered an asset Must be comfortable working in an austere mining environment, often working alone with no supervision.

Notes:

This position is located at the Albian site on a 7x7 continuous day shift rotation Camp and flights provided from Edmonton or Calgary A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement
