Senior Accountant

- Receive client records, prepare or assign financial statements
- Create and update review/compilation plans for clients
- Participate in fieldwork for reviews
- Prepare year-end financial statements, working papers for audits, reviews, and compilations
- Roll forward and set up accounting files from the previous year
- Prepare corporate/personal tax returns, including Trust and Not-for-Profit
- Meet with clients to discuss year-end results or arising issues
- Answer client queries and supervise team members when needed
- Review and oversee e-filing of personal tax returns
- Train clients on accounting software and processes
- Organize tax data, handle payroll, and manage government remittances
- Provide bookkeeping services and prepare transmittal documentation
- Assist and support staff, prepare in-house training, and ensure work is reassigned when out of the office
About You
- CPA Enrolled or designated is preferred
- 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, specifically preparing financial statements and preparing corporate tax returns
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced Excel (pivot tables, vlookups)
- Public accounting experience is highly favored
- CaseWare Desktop, CaseWare Cloud, QuickBooks, Simply Accounting, iFirm, T-Value would be a strong asset
- Experience with Tax Prep is favorable
Salary Range
$80,000/year
