Lafarge Construction provides Construction services in the City of Edmonton and surrounding areas. Lafarge Construction is based in Edmonton, AB and is currently seeking a seasonal, full-time Concrete Finisher Lead Hand

To join our team for residential and municipal concrete projects. As a Concrete Finisher - Lead Hand, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the construction of concrete curbs, sidewalks, and other residential and municipal structures. Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the activities of concrete crew members, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards. Assist with the preparation of work sites, including setting up forms, pouring concrete, and finishing surfaces. Operate and maintain concrete construction equipment and tools. Ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations. Train and mentor junior crew members to develop their skills and expertise in concrete construction. Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met. Monitor quality control and ensure that all work meets industry standards and client expectations.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in concrete construction, with a focus on residential and municipal projects. Strong leadership abilities and the ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team. Proficiency in concrete forming, pouring, and finishing techniques. Knowledge of concrete mixing ratios, curing methods, and surface treatments. Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Commitment to safety and adherence to all safety regulations and procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
