Lafarge Construction provides Construction services in the City of Edmonton and surrounding areas. Lafarge Construction is based in Edmonton, AB and is currently seeking a seasonal, full-time Rakerperson

Responsibilities: 

The accountabilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following: Rake asphalt to maintain drainage and preserve esthetics of asphalt mat. Minor truck and equipment maintenance Fix imperfections in the asphalt mat Clean up sites. Shoveling, raking, sweeping and other labour duties as required.

Qualifications:

The successful applicant will possess the following:

Valid Class 5 Drivers License. Experience in checking grades an asset. Attention to detail an asset. Knowledge of Construction an asset. Ability to operate other Paving equipment is an asset.

In addition to the above, the successful candidate will be expected to exercise sound judgment, work safely and communicate effectively in a team. This position is physically demanding and requires crouching, bending, lifting, and kneeling. As such, clearance on a pre-employment medical is required. The successful candidate will have a proven record of following safe work procedures and be able to complete field risk assessments.
