Parking Lot Attendant - Eastern Health

Starting Wage: $15.85

Reporting to the Supervising Team, this position will rotate between 3 different parking lot sites and requires reliable personal transportation. The Parking Lot Attendant is a customer-facing position that patrols designated parking lots to assist customers and monitor parking equipment, signs, traffic, and vehicles. Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service by building relationships with customers and recognizing and respecting the individual needs of each customer.
  • Assist customers using automated equipment, answering questions, and providing directions.
  • Process parking payments by cash or card and balance and reconcile cash at the end of the shift when assigned to the cashier booth.
  • Patrol parking lots to Inspect all signage visually and physically daily.
  • Patrol parking lots and correctly scan vehicle license plates in accordance with parking plans and site rules and issue notices for infractions as required.
  • Setting up and taking down mobile signs.
  • Actively identify and report any issues to the Team Lead or Supervisor.
  • Completing minor equipment repairs as required and minimizing any downtime to parking operation.
  • Accurately complete all required reports and/or paperwork for each shift.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following OHS safe job procedures and policies.
  • Performs other duties as requested by the Supervisors and Team Leads.


 Required Qualifications and Competencies:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience.
  • High level of interpersonal skills, including poise and diplomacy.
  • Good English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to customer service.
  • Able to walk or stand for long periods in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Reliable personal transportation.
