The Senior Cook works as part of a collaborative and dynamic team in a new, modern, well-equipped commercial kitchen in order to prepare daily nutritious meals while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in eating and prep areas. Qualifications

Minimum of Three (3) years’ related experience. Equivalent combination of education training and experience will also be considered. Completed Grade 12 along with a recognized twelve (12) month program in cooking.

Requirements

Food Safe Level 1 and Level 2. Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General Criminal Record Check.

Job Information

Hourly Wage Rate  $27.54 - $31.61.
Work Days: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday.
Shift Times: Thursday to Saturday from 6:00am to 6:00pm, Wednesday from 7:00am to 3:00pm.
Total Weekly Hours: 40.
Union  BCGEU. Work Location 535 Ellice ST - Rock Bay Landing.

Portability  

Candidate upon hire may be eligible to transfer the hours worked with other Community Social Services Agencies under the Retention and Portability memorandum. Some restrictions may apply.

As of November 1, 2021, Cool Aid requires that all its staff are fully vaccinated (7 days past their second dose of vaccine) against COVID-19.
