Vice President, Private Banking
Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Head of Private Banking, this position manages and develops a portfolio of high-net-worth (HNW) individuals and is instrumental in business development and client service strategy.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing a high level of service focused on banking, asset management, and trust services in order to rouse, manage, develop, and maintain a portfolio of HNW client relationships. Effectively managing client relationships, acting as a primary point of reference for all client needs. Analysing and providing tailored solutions to meet client needs, including preparation of client relationship plans. Maximising profitability by cross-selling and leveraging internal and external centres of influence. Managing, mentoring and developing direct reports and other team members within Private Banking. Collaborating with team members to proactively identify potential clients. Achieving individual performance and development goals aligned with departmental objectives and budgets. Visiting client sites, authoring and delivering presentations and representing Butterfield at various formal business functions. Maintaining in-depth knowledge of the banking industry and Butterfield products and services. Maintaining an understanding of world affairs, economic, business and other relevant matters. Any other duties as assigned.
Your qualifications and skills include:
A minimum of 10 years progressive experience in managing relationships with HNW client portfolios. University Degree or equivalent in related experience. Further financial professional qualification (eg. TEP, CFA, CFP) preferred. Excellent understanding of banking products particularly cash and asset management, investments, deposits, trust and custody services, estate planning and credit. Strong sales and service orientation with proven negotiation and business development skills combined with an ability to close new business and manage relationships. Ability to identify client needs, propose financial services solutions, and experience preparing financial plans. Proven ability to manage employees. Strong personal commitment to the client and to corporate objectives. Ability to identify complex opportunities and interpret and present information clearly and accurately in writing and verbally. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications.
