Job Description

RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position summary

Under la supervision of the Technical Platforms Manager of the Centre for Innovative Medicine (CIM), the health professional (Respiratory Therapist, Kinesiologists, Exercise Physiologist or Electrophysiologists) is responsible to conduct exercise tests for various clinical research studies.

General Duties
•Conducts exercise testing on cycle ergometer or treadmill,
•Monitors gas exchange, ventilation and other physiological parameters as required by the study protocol,
•Monitors 12-lead ECG, blood pressure and oxygen saturation,
•Promotes the use of efficient methods of work and provides a safe environment for patients,
•Completes Case Report Forms and provide source document to researchers with source documentation as per ICH/GCP guidelines,
•Conducts any other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
•Possibility to learn how to perform other assessments such as lung function testing, DXA body composition scans, functional evaluations, and many others.
