As a member of the emergency department, your workdays may include triaging patients, administering medications, and performing various medical procedures such as wound care, starting intravenous lines, and monitoring vital signs.

Continuing education, leadership opportunities, and exposure to unique technologies such as ACLS, TNCC, and Automated Dispensing Cabinets will contribute to your professional development. Your professionalism and communication skills are central to the role, ensuring timely and accurate information exchanges within the health care team. About the Emergency Department
Mount Sinai Hospital's Emergency Department is dedicated to delivering family-centered emergency care to the community, with approximately , annual visits. The care delivery system operates on a modified Primary Nursing model, and medical directives have been established to encourage and uphold autonomous nursing practice within the emergency specialty. Prioritizing nursing orientation, we have customized it to address the specific needs of individual nurses.
In this role you will:
Mandatory
Current certificate of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) Graduate of a CNO-approved bachelor’s degree in nursing program, or equivalent combined education and experience Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification As a condition of hire, the ACLS course must be successfully completed within six (6) months of hire
