Who We Are Looking For, and What We Have to Offer: Our team is looking for a full-time (standard 40-hour work week + overtime),  Journeyman Heavy-Duty Mechanic  for our Edmonton, Alberta location. Here’s what you can expect when working with us: Responsibilities · Licensed Heavy-Duty Mechanics· CVIP and Inspection Certification and experience on trucks and trailers· Strong leadership and effective communication skills are key assets; ability to speak and write clearly in English a must· Knowledge in hydraulics, electrical and pneumatics· Repair, adjust and/or replace defective components or systems on concrete ready-mix trucks and on- and off-road equipment· Heavy-Duty Mechanics must wear protective coveralls, steel-toed boots, and safety glass· Dual ticketed, Heavy-duty mechanics are preferred· Concrete experience; automotive knowledge; strong trouble-shooting skills; and diagnostic backgrounds are considered assets· Possess a valid Driver’s License and Driver’s Abstract according to company policy· Willingness to work flexible hours and peak period overtime· Meet all Safety requirements and policies· Pass a pre-employment drug screening.At  Knelsen Sand & Gravel Ltd . we build opportunity Our team—made up of remarkable individuals with unique talents and perspectives—work together to deliver successful projects and provide exceptional experiences for our clients and employees throughout Western and Northern Canada.We thank all applicants, but only those chosen for an initial interview will be contacted.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits: Extended health care Life insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Overtime Supplemental pay types: Overtime pay Ability to commute/relocate: Edmonton, AB T5S 2B2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Experience: mechanical: 1 year (preferred) hydraulics, electrical and pneumatics: 1 year (preferred) License/Certification: Journeyman (preferred) CVIP (preferred) Work Location: In person
