Salary:
Salary range for the position is $88,990 to $127,923. Interior Health establishes salaries within the minimum and maximum of the salary range based on consideration of the qualifications, experience of the applicant, and an internal equity review of the salaries of other employees.

About the job:
In accordance with the established vision and values of the organization, the Lead, Business Intelligence Systems is responsible to provide leadership, coaching, mentoring and support to a team of Business Intelligence Systems Analysts. The role will also support and provide guidance on business intelligence systems configuration to enable business functionality and Data & Analytics mission. As a key member of Data Development and Design, the Lead will work closely with business areas and Digital Health teammates to transform the delivery of services by leveraging industry leading technology.

Typical duties and responsibilities:
•Leads activities and services of the Business Intelligence Systems team, including managing appropriate staffing levels through recruitment, carrying out performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed, and other HR issues including overseeing daily assignments and approving vacations and vacation coverage.
•Develops operating plans, goals, and objectives, as they relate to business intelligence systems; such as Microsoft Azure, complex cloud-based applications and services, and other applications. Ensures configurations align with organization and program area goals and objectives.
•Coordinates and leads activities pertaining to business intelligence systems, including transition of support from new project implementations, ongoing engagement with partners, solution optimization, software updates, access models, development of documentation and training materials, support of the associated application software, product release plans and set expectations for delivery of new application functionalities.
•Works with the Provincial shared service organization on governance, shared tenancy configuration and access requirements necessary to provision and support the applications.
•Maintains a functional budget responsible for managing software licensing allocation and consumption, exploring opportunities to optimize application usage and maximize cost efficiency.
•Assesses and review system reporting needs configuring software functionality to meet requirements, and submitting report specifications when not possible.
•In conjunction with Data & Analytics Leadership, develops policies, standards, and procedures including improvement activities relating to business intelligence systems and applications.
•Supports best practice, standards and process related to business intelligence systems and IH Data governance model.
•Works within ITIL Service Delivery framework for incident management, service requests, change control, and management of configuration items and knowledge bases.
•Serves as the product ambassador internally and externally, sharing knowledge and answering questions related to the product.
•Responsible for developing and recommending a budget; monitoring expenditures; variance analysis; and reporting, recommending, and implementing remedial action.
•In alignment with IH’s Occupational Health & Safety Program, employees shall adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times and attend all required training. Employees are responsible to report any identified hazards, unsafe conditions or incidents to the manager or supervisor immediately.
•Performs other related duties as assigned.
