About the Role: As a Project Coordinator, you'll play a crucial role in our project team, reporting directly to the Projects Superintendent. Your responsibilities will encompass planning, organizing, directing, and controlling project activities from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to schedule, specifications, and budget. You'll also handle project changes and contribute to the estimation of new work.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project budget, cash flow, and preliminary schedule.
  • Facilitate project organization and communication through charts and meetings.
  • Monitor progress and quality of work, utilizing project scheduling and control tools.
  • Prepare comprehensive progress reports and cost summaries for all projects.
  • Oversee purchase orders and job setup in JDE.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and project team, addressing needs promptly and cost-effectively.
  • Ensure timely completion of project close-out documents and certifications.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and contribute ideas constructively.
  • Maintain open communication with Project Manager and team regarding project status and potential issues.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and provide coaching as needed.
  • Assist with estimating project costs and tendering procedures, including bid analysis and negotiations.
  • Coordinate material and equipment purchasing for secured jobs
  • Ensure compliance with quality programs and reporting requirements.
  • Travel to various sites or clients as necessary.




Requirements:

  • Minimum one year of schooling towards Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Project/Construction Management
  • In-depth knowledge and engagement experience with Indigenous communities strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Project and/or Primavera, as well as the MS Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
