Reportingto the Maintenance,Fabrication, and Manufacturing department this position will support the millwright equipmentin a variety of programs. This positionwill repair and maintenance of a variety of millwright equipment. The position will also assist in planning, coordinating,and implementing methods and/or ideas for the overall repair, design,fabrication, and maintenance of various equipment, lab equipment, and otherteaching aids.

KeyResponsibilities:

Maintenanceof equipment, manufacture parts, tool maintenance and distribution Shop/lab maintenance Sourcingthe department’s consumables and tooling requirements Planning/organizingthe repair of program area parts/equipment Planning/organizingshops and creation of jigs, fixtures and teaching aids Planning/organizingthe repair of parts/equipment for other NAIT departments as required Creatework orders and purchase orders (consumables - tooling) Coordinate/manageprogram purchasing & receiving Assist in troubleshootingequipment problems Assist with lab set up andtake down

Skills & Abilities:

Excellent interpersonal &communication skills Knowledge of computers Ability to properly and safely userelated tools and equipment Ability to determine materialsrequired and calculate estimate costs Physically capable to perform thework functions of this position (ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted) Ability to be flexible with workhours and assignment

Qualifications:

Journeyperson Machinistcertificate required Several years’ experiencerelated to position assignment Possession of a validAlberta Class 5 driver’s license

Applicants witheducation credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentialsevaluated by World Education Services or the International QualificationsAssessment Service (IQAS).

Remuneration : $81,854.50annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package. (Machinist II).

Thisposition is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE)Collective Agreement.
