Pharmacy Manager

What you’ll do

: Provide strategic direction, leadership, and guidance to the pharmacy department in the areas of business development, corporate performance management, staffing, strategic planning, marketing, safety, procurement and programs, facilities management, operations, risk management and annual operating and capital budgets. Manage and oversee the operation of the pharmacy and its budget, including its sales, expenses, labour, and inventory and provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the pharmacy team. Provide patient focused services such as injections, medication reviews, and minor ailment prescribing to maximize patient care. Provide professional advice and counselling on prescriptions, over-the-counter medications including indications, dosage, adverse effects, and drug interactions and health related issues to patients. Develop, maintain strong working relationships, and collaborate with health care professionals in the community to ensure the continuity of care and proper handling of a patient’s varying health concerns. Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures that comply with federal, provincial, legal, and regulatory requirements on behalf of Clearview Co-op.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Pharmacy Management and:

Have a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.Sc.Phm.) or a Doctorate in Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from a recognized institution. Have 5 years of experience in pharmacy with leadership experience. Have an injection certification, current licensure, and good standing with the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba. Willing to participate in industry association events and ongoing professional development. Are honest, trustworthy, results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
