We are looking to hire an experienced IT Manager to join our team. This position is an onsite position at our Head Office in Dartmouth, NS . As an IT Manager at Hercules Group of Companies, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the technological infrastructure of our organization. You will lead a team of IT professionals to manage our systems and networks, ensure security, and drive innovation in our IT strategies.

Principle Responsibilities

Lead and mentor the IT department, ensuring high performance and alignment with the company’s objectives. Develop and implement comprehensive IT policies and systems to meet company needs. Develop and enhance IT department KPI’s Oversee the technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the organization to ensure optimal performance. Manage IT projects, supervise system upgrades, and handle hardware and software installations. Direct and organize IT-related workflows, manage departmental budgets, and control costs. Implement and maintain security protocols and disaster recovery systems to mitigate risks and ensure data security. Liaise with other departments and external vendors to integrate and align IT with business goals. Provide technical support, training, and guidance to employees. Stay abreast of technology trends and developments to drive innovation within the company.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an IT leadership role, preferably in a similar industry. Strong knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and computer hardware/software systems. Expertise in data center management and data governance. Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation. Excellent leadership and decision-making skills. Proficient in project management, with the ability to lead and manage large IT projects. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities. Must hold a valid driver’s license and be insurable Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
