 100% owned by the Yellowknives Dene First Nation, The Keskorie Boarding Home is a division of the Det’on Cho Hospitality Group, providing top-tier, professional services to medical travel guests. We promote a positive work-place culture focused on growth, teamwork and inclusivity and are seeking a part-time shuttle driver for the Keskorie Boarding Home.

The Position: 

Under the supervision and direction of the Manager the Shuttle Driver is responsible for the transportation of guests to and from their medical appointments. This is a Part-Time position.

Qualifications:

Our ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent experience. Class 1 or Class 4 Driver’s License Able to provide a Driver’s Abstract  Ability to speak an Aboriginal language and knowledge of culture be an asset. Good written and oral communication skills. Self-motivated and trustworthy. Standard First Aid w/CPR, AED WHMIS Certificate Willing to undergo a Security Clearance Background Check  

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for:

Welcoming new clients / patients Drive safely and obey all traffic laws to ensure patients are transported in a safe and timely manner. Perform walk-around inspection of vehicle each shift (before start and end of shift). Complete Incident Report when required. Complete Daily Pre-Shift Vehicle Inspection Checklist. Communicating with Reception on pickups, drop offs and deliveries of patients prescriptions.
