About the Position:
The Material Processor will be responsible for processing material and operating various processing machines for our Feature Walters division. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Material Processor will be tasked with:
Efficient and accurate operation of Feature Walters machines.Studies work orders and interpret blueprints to determine machining operations to be performed.Ensures dimensional accuracies and tolerances.Maintain accurate records of the machine and ensure all required paperwork is completed correctly.Completes machine sign offs and ensures safety records are kept up to date.Troubleshoots machine problems working with maintenance when required.Performs routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.Runs machine in accordance with Walters safe work practices and procedures.Ensures all tools/equipment and machines are operated with care.Trains junior machine operators/prep employees on machine use and capabilities.Work Location:
Princeton, ON.Position Requirements:
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Ability to read a tape measure in both metric and imperial.Familiar with NC and CNC controls.Knowledge and understanding of how to setup and use a variety of machines:MillsIronworkersBlast cabinetsRadial arm drillsVertical bandsawsHorizontal bandsawsCold cut sawsBurnishersDA SandersAbility to operate overhead cranes.Knowledge of Health and Safety Procedures.A team player, who can interrelate and operate effectively with peers and other associates within a collegial, yet demanding, work environment.Organization Skills and the ability to be flexible in managing changing priorities.Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.Familiarity with hand tools, polishing and achieving high end finishes.Analytical and Problem Solving skills.Compensation Package:
