Reports to: Production Supervisor

Location: Kingsville, Ontario

 

Position Summary

This position supports the activities of the production leadership team in the completion of necessary paperwork, updating of record and reports and answering questions from Customer Service and Production
associates.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the creation and management of work orders.
  • Create and update production cards in the scheduling system.
  • Update rolling inventory with completed work orders and scrap values. Identify and communicate any errors or discrepancies to.
  • Assist with the data entry and distribution of Production and Logistics reports.
  • Assist with the completion of scheduled inventory counts along with the updating of inventory records.
  • Assist with the identification and investigation of inventory discrepancies.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork related to shipping and receiving for the facility and provide to the Warehouse Supervisor or designate.
  • Provide dispatch assistance for incoming and outgoing loads as needed.
  • Follows safety rules and regulations.
  • Performs other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  •  
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • SAP knowledge preferred

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  •  
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization
  • Proficient in computer software (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Ability to operate various office machines
  • Basic mechanical knowledge
  • SQF training.
  • This position requires the ability to demonstrate the following competencies:
    • Problem solving and judgement
    • Detail-oriented
    • Strong communication skills
    • Ability to carry out instructions and follow through
