We serve over 96,000 residents in over 1,600 seniors and other congregate care communities (long-term care homes, retirement homes, assisted living facilities, and group homes). We are a national organization with a large network of pharmacy fulfillment centers strategically located across the country. This allows us to deliver medications in a timely and cost-effective manner and quickly respond to routine changes in medication management. We use best-in-class technology that automates the preparation and verification of multi-dose compliance packaging of medication, providing the highest levels of safety and adherence for individuals with complex medication regimes. Position Summary
The Pharmacy Assistant plays a vital role in pharmacy. They assist in the day to day operation of the pharmacy including greeting customers, gathering information to maintain accurate patient profiles, filling prescriptions using Kroll software, preparing prescription medications, maintaining inventory, and communicating with other medical professionals. Their support to the Pharmacist is essential to maintaining our quality standards.
The location is in a medical building.
Your Day to Day:
Ensuring accurate documentation of completed work as per policies and procedures Preparing prescriptions (gathering information from customers) to be filled via dispensary software Processing, adjudicating, dispensing, and filling prescriptions Maintaining a clean and safe work environment Maintaining strict confidentiality and ethical standardsWhat You Bring To The Team:
Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or certification from an accredited Pharmacy Assistant program preferred Experience with Kroll Proficiency with Microsoft Office Strong interpersonal communication skills, able to maintain a professional demeanor when speaking with clientele Remains calm under pressure and can meet tight deadlines Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented Strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated customer service experience; strong motivation to succeed Possess a positive, cooperative and team-oriented attitudeQualities for Success:
Ability to manage changing priorities Ability to work independently, and as a member of a team Customer service oriented Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Ability to consistently meet deadlines with strong attention to detail Ability to work independently with minimal supervisionApplication Process
