With facilities in North America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia, StandardAero is one of the largest independent aviation service providers in the world providing maintenance, repair and overhaul (“MRO”) services to commercial, business and military aviation markets. The StandardAero Central Configuration Control team in Winnipeg is in search of a candidate for a Configuration Control Specialist (CCS) role. The successful candidate will have exposure to operations on a global scale and enjoy the unique opportunity to build knowledge and expertise working with both local and remote Business Units.
Responsibilities include oversight and administration of large internal documentation sets, coordination of records archiving administration, generation and maintenance of component repair routings and providing support for all configuration control systems and data sets including bills of material, detailed part information, shop routings & work flow, etc. The candidate should be comfortable working in a software and database focused environment requiring an ability to learn and gain technical product and process knowledge. As well, familiarity with document authoring software and content management platforms such as MS Word, Adobe and Box would be an advantage. This position works with a number of business units, functional groups and Engineering personnel to ensure that supported functions are maintained appropriately and is responsible for providing training, doing functional audits and identifying improvement opportunities relative to any or all configuration control systems and data sets which form part of the in-house ERP system.

College diploma in a field of engineering technology, quality control, or an equivalent of several years of experience in an inspection or quality role associated with technical documentation Strong organizational, analytical, decision making, leadership, interpersonal, planning, oral and written communication skills Strong attention to detail with interest in process improvement Proficiency in MS Office with a strong understanding of Excel and Access, and a high comfort level learning and navigating software applications generally Knowledge of records management, documentation control and configuration control/management practices an asset.Benefits that make life better:
