JLL is hiring an experienced Building Operator for one of it's key clients for New-Brunswick and PEI. The Operator will be part of a team responsible for operational and technical support on operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing facility equipment and building systems.
The Operator will have a regular business hours shift schedule (Monday-Friday)
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING/WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU/WHAT YOU’LL DO
Respond to tenant and user service calls and complaints as quickly and efficiently as possible. Perform preventive maintenance and repair service work on HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and various other building systems to maintain the properties in peak operational condition. Provide assistance as directed to other building operations staff in the areas of preventative maintenance, electrical maintenance, etc. Perform water treatment testing and analysis, adjust and modify chemical feed to ensure proper levels are being maintained. Act as relief for other similar positions whose incumbent may be absent from time-to-time. Complete custodial housekeeping tasks in the mechanical/electrical areas. Perform other related duties as required and reasonably assigned from time-to-time. Perform On-call coverage on a rotating basis along with other building staff. Coordinate with subcontractors to complete required repairs and maintenance.WHAT YOU BRING/ WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TABLE /WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
3 years’ experience in building repairs/operations Basic Interpersonal skills demonstrating professionalism and commitment to service excellence. Basic verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to comprehend an issue and resolve it and complete logs. Aptitude to learn state-of-the-art Building Automation Systems in order to be trained for the next level. Good verbal and written communication skills React swiftly and accurately to crisis situations. Respond to unexpected emergency call-backs if problems occur from time-to-time Ability to perform the requirements of the job with minimal supervision and complete the assigned tasks per agreed deadlines.WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU
