This is a fulltime permanent position focused on leadingvegetation ecology environmental regulatory applications andrelated projects. PositionResponsibilities
  • Thisposition is responsible for safe and efficient projectwork;
  • Managethe Wetland Team and projectwork;
  • Leadand manage project deliverables and working relationships withWoodlands peers and management regulators andclients;
  • Providesenior direction business development and strategy development toWoodlands;
  • Maintainregulatory compliance and best management practices for vegetationand wetlandsmanagement;
  • Supportour wetlands mobile technology spatial data set integrity and webenableddashboard;
  • Providesenior ecology review of reports and dataanalysis;
  • Supportmentorship and inspire the professional development of Woodlandsemployees.
PositionRequirements andQualifications
  • Knowledgeablein current best management practices and regulatory requirementsfor wetland assessments and regulatoryapplications;
  • UniversityDegree or technical diploma is required in Environmental EarthScience Forestry Biology Engineering Geomatics orSurveying;
  • AuthenticatingWetland Professional with professionalregistration in one of Alberta s Professional RegulatoryOrganizations;
  • 5or more years of relevantexperience;
  • Advancedtechnical writing data analysis reporting and communicationskills;
  • GISand geospatial data analysis knowledge or experience is consideredas anasset;
  • Previousteaching experience with data or ecological based subjects isconsidered as anasset;
  • Abilityto demonstrate leadership quality safety and customer servicefocus.

Knowledgeable in current best management practices and regulatoryrequirements for wetland assessments and regulatory applications;University Degree or technical diploma is required inEnvironmental, Earth Science, Forestry, Biology, Engineering,Geomatics or Surveying; Authenticating Wetland Professional withprofessional registration in one of Alberta s ProfessionalRegulatory Organizations; 5 or more years of relevant experience;Advanced technical writing, data analysis, reporting, andcommunication skills; GIS and geospatial data analysis knowledge orexperience is considered as an asset; Previous teaching experiencewith data or ecological based subjects is considered as an asset;Ability to demonstrate leadership, quality, safety, and customerservice focus.
