ServiceMaster Restore of Halifax/Dartmouth is currently searching for an Restoration / Abatement / Lead Technician to join our team.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Lead Technician will be responsible for conducting various general remediation and demolition services at assigned residential and commercial client sites. While demolition is one of the major activities of the role, ServiceMaster of Hal-Dart does invest the time to train, develop and expand the Technician's competencies and knowledge.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, can do approach and have some work related experience. Below are some of the details of the position.

Daily Office/Management Duties

Review work orders assigned and communicate with other associates involved as needed Check routing and directions to each job as required Inspect materials and equipment required for the scheduled jobs is in good working order and loaded on company vehicles prior to leaving the office Create a requisition for materials and equipment needed for pick-up at the end of each working week

Client Site Duties

Complete jobs to specifications to customer’s satisfaction Manage work assignments within units allocated, and ensure the materials and equipment units taken are recorded on the work orders Take a personal and genuine interest in providing customer satisfaction

General Duties

Conduct all work in accordance with company safety policies Attend training workshops as required for the production team Help train new crew helpers/technicians in accordance with ServiceMaster standards Maintain professional conduct and appearance in all client facing activities Provide an exceptional level of service that exceeds the expectation of the client

Educational Requirements

Education Required: High School Diploma

Other Education/Certification/Training preferred: IICRC Certifications are considered an asset

Work Experience Requirements

Work experience required: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in restoration or construction services, OR, two consecutive years working in an industry that has transferable experience.

Technical Requirements

Equipment: Use and knowledge of basic hand tools and most power tools (skill saw, sawzall, cordless drill)

Software: Outlook, Internet Explorer

Physical Requirements

This position requires a high level of physical exertion. Moderate intensity of sensory effort is required. 

Compensation: $30,000 to $40,000
