We deliver environmental and sustainability services to our clients through the integration of advisory and over 30 technical environmental and engineering disciplines to help clients address some of their most complex challenges around sustainability, we are Making Sustainability Happen.

As our new Acoustics and Vibration Engineer with a passion for working on environmental related projects, you will play an important role on a team whose work is essential to achieving this goal.Job DescriptionIn this position, you’ll work closely with our senior consultants on a diverse array of private and public sector clients across North America. Whether you’re working on new and retrofit projects for noise and vibration control, conducting field measurements, or leading the development of new noise and vibration models, you’ll feel good knowing your work will positively impact people for years to come. 
Key Responsibilities Your tasks will also include:

• noise and vibration assessments on challenging and stimulating projects encompassing:
• Environmental Noise: examples include noise permitting for industrial/ manufacturing facilities, land use planning, transportation noise for road, rail and aircraft
• Environmental Vibration: examples include vehicle-induced vibrations and construction vibration. 
• conducting field measurements in challenging environments, throughout the year;
• working to streamline and standardize data collection and analysis;
• preparing and presenting technical reports;
• coordinating projects to maintain schedule and budgets;
• leading the development of new models and applications related to noise and vibration; 
• establishing effective QA/QC procedures.

Qualifications

• Ideally 5+ years of experience working in environmental noise and vibration
• Degree in engineering, physics, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
• , or eligible for P. Eng. certification in Ontario
• Experience with project proposals, coordination, or management
• Familiarity with the fundamentals and approaches used to measure, predict and evaluate noise and vibration
• Proficiency with computational and office suite software (, Microsoft Office Suite, Matlab, finite element modeling packages, etc.) 
• Experience with noise and vibration modeling software (, CadnaA, CATT, Odeon or EASE, SAP)
• Flexible, multi-tasking work habits, and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Highly organized, reliable, creative, innovative and energetic worker as well as a quick learner
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
