Jardeg Construction is currently seeking a Loader Operator to join our Bonnyville Fabrication Shop team. This is a full-time permanent position on 5/2 rotation with 48 hours a week.

 

Bonnyville Fabrication Shop, does fabrication and installation of process piping, structural steel and skid packages for the oil and gas industry anywhere in Alberta.  

For over 40 years, the Bonnyville office and team have been providing specialized material requirements and technical services and support for industrial construction and applications. As a longtime part of the Bonnyville area community, we take pride in supporting and contributing to local organizations that improve and enhance community life.

 

Position summary:

Operators perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled work in the operation of light, medium and heavy equipment. They are responsible for understanding and following all operating policy and procedures while operating equipment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Operate Loader

  • Reads and understands the results and purpose of all gauges and equipment.

  • Properly maintains and services or has equipment serviced daily. 

  • Performs minor maintenance or clearing of tools and equipment.

  • Receives written and oral instructions from supervisor regarding materials to move.

  • Demonstrates safe operation of all equipment.

  • Ability to work unsupervised. Be your own motivator, you work solo.

  • Meet established timeline.

  • Make critical decisions (equipment limits).

  • Carry out detailed procedures (e.g. set of steps to follow).

  • Meet safety standards and company's core values. You are representing the company at all times.

  • Understand and utilize the right and responsibility to stop unsafe work.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have experience operating a wheel loader with a grapple moving pipe.

  • Heavy equipment operator ticket

  • CSTS 2020

  • WHMIS 20

  • Valid Driver’s License 

  • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
