At Aecon, people are at the heart of everything we do. As an Asphalt Rakerperson travel throughout southern Alberta and southern Saskatchewan is required . This contract is  7 months  and will begin in  April 2024 .

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for distributing the asphalt mix to ensure a smooth surface (eliminate bumps/lines) Raking hot asphalt Shoveling excess asphalt Sweeping up litter and excess material Abide by healthy and safety protocols and maintain safety mindset

Required Knowledge & Experience

Must have experience operating an Asphalt Roller on major roadways, ensuring the surface material is to the desired compaction and smoothness. Ability to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, contractors and the general public in a courteous, professional manner at all times. Maintains a valid Class 5 driver’s license or better. Own vehicle to get to and from jobsite. Willing to work out of town and in remote locations, as required. Willing to work overtime, as required. Must comply with the company's drug & alcohol program, including testing requirement. Other duties as assigned
