Ce que vous ferez

Nous sommes à la recherche d’un programmeur IA sénior passionné par l’expansion de notre ensemble d’outils d’IA pour Unreal Engine. Vous travaillerez avec d’autres membres de l’équipe pour participer à la création de nouveaux outils, mais surtout pour évaluer et améliorer les outils existants. 

Votre influence pourra se faire sentir dans tous les domaines du continuum du développement : conception, convivialité, déploiement dans les projets, etc. Ce faisant, vous devrez garantir une précision et des performances exceptionnelles du runtime. En tant que membre de l’équipe responsable de l’IA pour Unreal Engine, vous aurez comme responsabilité de collaborer avec d’autres programmeurs de l’équipe pour proposer des interfaces de programmation qui seront exploitées par d’autres équipes responsables du moteur d’Unreal Engine. Ces outils seront également utilisés par des programmeurs et des concepteurs internes ou détenteurs de licences qui utilisent l’ensemble d’outils d’IA pour Unreal Engine. Vos contributions à l’équipe nous aideront à réaliser la prochaine génération d’expériences de jeu fantastiques et à trouver des moyens de promouvoir l’ensemble des outils offerts à notre écosystème de créateurs de contenu.


Ce dont vous serez responsable

Développer et accroître les ensembles de fonctionnalités et la portée d’utilisation de Mass Framework, notre cadre de conception axé sur les données dans Unreal Engine, et en être responsable. Cerner les occasions d’intégration directe de Mass Framework dans le processus de travail d’Editor. Trouver des moyens d’exploiter les fonctionnalités de Mass Framework sans dépendre d’Actor pour les fonctionnalités de système (sérialisation, réplication, rendu, physique, etc.). Repérer les occasions d’exploitation automatique de Mass Framework par certains des systèmes d’Unreal Engine (diffusion continue des entités de l’éditeur de Lightweight, conversion vers Actor sur demande, etc.). Évaluer les outils existants et proposer des solutions de rechange ou des approches novatrices. Accompagner nos partenaires et nos détenteurs de licence dans la réalisation de leurs ambitions avec nos outils d’IA.

Ce que nous recherchons

Solides compétences en C++ et connaissance des principes de programmation. Solide compréhension des processus liés à la création d’outils de moteur. Solide compréhension des ensembles d’outils d’IA généralement utilisés dans les systèmes AAA. Passion, intérêt et connaissances au niveau d'un ou plusieurs éléments du domaine de l'IA en jouabilité. Habileté à construire des systèmes robustes, extensibles et maintenables. Expérience professionnelle en conception de jeux AAA ou en matière de technologie de moteurs de jeu. Candidat motivé, avec une bonne éthique de travail et la capacité d’effectuer des tâches de façon autonome. Excellentes compétences interpersonnelles et en communication, dont une aptitude démontrée à communiquer couramment en anglais (à l’écrit et à l’oral). Philosophie de travail axée sur les usagers, les solutions et l’innovation, accompagnée de passion (ces qualités sont la clé du succès chez Epic et influencent tout ce que nous faisons).
