Job Summary
As a Mechanical Piping Engineer your primaryresponsibility will be to ensure that all aspects of engineeringdesign procurement construction and project completion comply withproject contracts focusing on schedule cost health safety andenvironmental standards. You will be involved in various tasksincluding reviewing and designing mechanical modifications for oiland gas processing and handling facilities.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Design or study mechanical modifications for oil gas andutility facilities.
- Lead capital projectexecution while adhering to work scope schedule andbudget.
- Manage project lifecycle fromengineering to construction and turnover.
- Develop project proposals defining scope schedules andbudget for approval.
- Participate in HAZOPStudies FEED reviews and detailed engineering.
- Oversee contractors for design procurement andconstruction.
- Develop contracting strategiesand coordinate among project stakeholders.
- Review schedules and monitor progress addressing anycontractor performance issues.
- Lead multipleconcurrent projects with potential support from juniorengineers.
- Develop piping material classes andspecify related components on P&IDs.
- Create internal specifications and contribute to projectplanning and quality improvement.
- Evaluate andrecommend tools and methodologies for projectmanagement.
- Conduct special studies related toProject Management.
- Assess capabilities ofcontractors and suppliers.
Requirements:
- Willingness to permanentlyrelocate to Dhahran Saudi Arabia.
- Professional Engineering Registrationpreferred.
- PMP Certificationdesirable.
- 7 years of experience inengineering design and construction preferably in the oil industryor similar.
- Familiarity with InternationalEngineering Codes and Standards.
- ExcellentEnglish communication skills.
- Proactiveapproach to project improvements and cost savings.
- Experience in the GCC Saudi Arabia or with our company isan advantage.
- Indepth knowledge of engineeringpractices codes and standards (ASME API NACE ASTM ISO).
- Proficiency in engineering software.
