Machinery Technician

What you will do

Maintain, Repair, Manufacture, and optimize the Refinery equipment to protect the operations from interruptions Participate in developing solutions to technical issues and implementing improvements Coordinates with other trades for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently Work in a manner that improves and enhances teamwork, site organization and efficiency, conducting all business in a professional and ethical manner, communicating in a clear and timely fashion and providing accurate information and records As a 24hr facility, respond to refinery needs off-hours if possible Typical work hours Monday to Friday 7:30am - 4pm, one Friday off per month

About you

Skills and Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license and safe driving record A Red Seal Certificate of Qualification in an applicable Red Seal trade with machining background ( 433A, 429A, 430A) Experience operating machines to manufacture components to a high degree of accuracy using various materials and methods

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

Preference for individuals who can work in both a shop and field environment performing both machinist and millwright skill sets Preference for candidates with a high degree of mechanical aptitude and experience with pumps, steam turbines, compressors, and other machinery Shop operation of drill presses, hydraulic press, forklifts, overhead cranes, lathes, milling machines, as well as field machine repairs and alignments Ability to work outdoors in all seasons
