Ability to work alongside administration team Prepare morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack for all classrooms, following a set menu Prepare grocery order Serve meals to each classroom on time, at the appropriate temperature Work with staff to collect meal numbers before food preparation each day Prepare appropriate amount of food for each classroom meeting all the guidelines Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including all food storage areas Ensure all thermometers are working appropriately Wash and sanitize all dishes Clean kitchen and appliances throughout the day Organize and put away all groceries, food orders, non-food items As needed, (usually in the morning) will be in ratio working with the children until educators arrive for their shift. As needed, relieve educators throughout the day for washroom break and/or lunch breaks.

Required Skills

Current criminal record check with vulnerable sector check  Must have first aid / CPR certificate  Must have or willing to obtain the food safety course

Required Experience

Excellent time management skills Knowledgeable on accommodating food allergies  Experience preparing meals for large groups considered an asset Experience preparing food for children 0-5 years of age an asset Experience with young children is an asset
