Adecco in partnership with an Indigenous-founded, Indigenous-led, and exclusively Indigenous-serving organization that supports Indigenous communities to address cumulative effects through a Two-Eyed Seeing approach is seeking a Chief of Staff. The primary objective is to build and enhance the technical and scientific capacity of Indigenous communities across Canada, based on the values of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities. As a resource, the organization provides funding for community-led projects, share knowledge, and link Indigenous communities together, working towards intergenerational decision-making and partnership building.
About You
As someone with deep experience in executive support roles and project coordination, you are skilled at balancing multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity. You have a strong track record of executing creative solutions, working closely with, or within, an organization’s executive team, and facilitating effective communication between executive teams and departments.
Key Traits
Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
Deep cultural sensitivity and understanding of Indigenous communities and their needs
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to synthesize complex information and present it in an accessible manner

About the Role
As the Chief of Staff at ICCE, you will be the right hand to our executive team, playing a critical role in optimizing operations and supporting the organization’s strategic initiatives. You will act as an important point of contact between the executive team and other staff members, and you will be responsible for ensuring that the executive team remains engaged with the broader ICCE community. Your role will be to manage organization-wide training (including staff, board members and TAC), manage daily logistics, facilitate effective internal communications, and contribute to long-term planning and governance, all while upholding the values and principles central to Indigenous communities.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure appropriate training of staff either directly, or with service providers
Manage the executive team's daily schedule, including meeting planning, travel arrangements, and priority setting
Act as liaison between the executive team and department leaders, offering recommendations to improve teamwork and organizational effectiveness
Assist in strategic planning, work plans, and goal setting, taking into consideration the unique needs and values of Indigenous communities
Set and monitor key performance indicators to measure team and organizational performance

Full-time or consultative experience, preferably with a focus on operations management within non-profit or Indigenous organizations
Proficiency in collaboration tools like Slack and Trello, as well as virtual meeting platforms like Zoom
Strong project reporting skills, specifically in interdepartmental communication
Experience in budget management
Demonstrated cultural competency and sensitivity to Indigenous perspectives
If you possess the necessary experience and skills, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
