Summary:
AGAT Laboratories is hiring an established Senior Accountant to be based out of our Calgary corporate office. The Senior Accountant is a critical position in our Accounting Department. The Senior Accountant is responsible for many aspects of the day-to-day Accounting operations, financial reporting and budgeting. This position is given direction from the Accounting Manager and Corporate Controller.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial and management analysis and reporting. Financial support and act as finance interface for other departments. Daily and monthly bank reconciliations. Preparation of journal entries and monthly G/L reconciliations. Revenue Projections. Review of A/P payments. Processing of GST/HST/QST filings. Preparation of budgets. Other tasks as reasonably expected.Qualifications:
CPA Designation or in final stages nearing completion. Degree or diploma in finance or accounting. Customer Service Experience as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills. Advanced computer skills, strong Excel, accounting and purchasing software experience required. 5 + years’ experience in an Accounting role. Understanding of accounting principles and procedures. Ability to work independently. Planning, organization, analysis and decision making skills required. Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment Good problem solving skills. Excellent negotiating skills.-
