KeyResponsibilities:
  • Lead detaileddesign for projects of various sizes assigning tasks to teammembers.
  • Supervise and mentor mechanicaldesigners and engineers ensuring highquality work.
  • Provide technical guidance to clients and projectsubconsultants.
  • Attend design and coordinationmeetings; perform construction site reviews whenrequired.
  • Analyze client proposals selectmechanical equipment and prepare schematic designreports.
  • Review and provide feedback oncolleagues' drawings and designs.
  • Coordinate mechanical systems with other disciplines anddetermine project design hours.
  • Identify theneed for additional services and communicate effectively with theProject Manager.
  • Maintain project schedulesand budgets tracking work progress and resourceutilization.
Experience& Qualifications:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 510 years ofexperience as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.).
  • Detailed understanding of building systems and theirimpact on mechanical systems.
  • Proficient ininterpreting construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of current codes and standards includingplumbing and building codes.
  • Excellent writtencommunication skills and proficiency in software (Microsoft WordBluebeam AutoCAD REVIT etc.).
  • Financial acumenrelated to projects including work backlog work in progress andproject costs vs budgets.
  • Ability to schedulementor and manage project teams on multiple concurrentprojects.
