The Coordinator of Cardiovascular Services, under the direction ofthe Manager, 2C Cardiology/Medical Inpatient

Unit, will help plan and coordinate day to day activities relatedto cardiology and vascular services. The individual

will provide clinical and professional leadership that will helpfacilitate a safe and effective work environment,

embraces both efficiency and professional accountability amongstall staff members and ensure the quality of patient

care and professional standards of practice.

The Coordinator of Cardiovascular Services will leadinterdisciplinary quality improvement initiatives and provide

clinical and administrative support to the service.

The coordinator of Cardiovascular Services will base theirdecisions on the mission, vision and values of Thunder

Bay Regional Health Sciences Center, the principals of the Patientand Family Center Care, interprofessional

collaboration, the College of Nurses of Ontario and CanadianNurses Association Standards of Practice, and

Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Center policies, proceduresand standards.

Employment Requirements:

* Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or equivalent for other alliedhealth professionals

* Current unrestricted registration with professionalcollege/regulatory body

* Minimum 5 years experience in acute care setting preferably inCardiology, Stroke and Vascular Care

* Excellent organizational, interpersonal and written/verbalcommunication skills

* High level of self initiative and direction

* Ability to work effectively individually and within a teamsetting

* Knowledge of practice standards and guiding principles tofoster professional practice and accountability

* Analytical skills in order to monitor, assess and implementprograms and address operational needs and ensure

fiscal sustainability.

* Interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence to interacteffectively with staff, patients, family supports and

community partners.

* Leadership and teamwork skills to support, coach, direct,mentor and teach activities to clinical staff and to

promote positive staff relations

* Proficient in the use of computer applications such asMicrosoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and Excel

Salary Range: $53.733 to 62.864
