Environmental Analyst

Overview

Complete Biodiversity Indicator and Reporting System (BIRS) Assessments for all aggregate sites in Eastern Ontario and Quebec.

Responsibilities

Site Visits:

Coordinate site visits Travel to sites and complete BIRS Checklists for applicable areas of the site in coordination with site representative

Review:

Review BIRS Checklists prepare Assessment Reports  Track progress on execution of BIRS Assessments

Report:

Finalize BIRS Assessments and post documents to Google Drive.

Projects:

Special projects will be defined to enable achievement of environmental goals. Projects include: Biodiversity Indicator and Reporting System (BIRS) Assessments

Relationship with Others

Incumbent will communicate with the Environment & Public Affairs team; Cement, Aggregate Operations Teams and will work with the Manager, Environment & Public Affairs and Director, Environment & Public Affairs. 

Specific Accountabilities:

Site visits to complete BIRS Checklists/Assessments.

Dimensions:

Reports to Senior Manager, Environment & Public Affairs.

Qualification Profile

Post-secondary degree in Environmental Studies or the equivalent of education and experience. Technical knowledge required to complete BIRS Checklists/Assessments. Must be French/English bilingual. Adequate fitness to complete site visits (walking over uneven terrain). Must have a valid Drivers License and a vehicle.
