Overview

Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division, is looking for a Software Test Designer to join our global engineering team committed to being a leader in high quality products and customer excellence. The role will be suited for someone who is keen to grow their career and fulfill a vital role, collecting and analyzing real-world GNSS/INS data. This will include being part of a global dynamic engineering community of practice. 

The Location: Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position is based in Calgary, AB and is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities

As a Software Test Designer , your responsibilities include:

Design, execute and maintain verification and validation scripts written in Python Deploy and monitor tests in a continuous integration system Collect and analyze real-world GNSS/INS data Create/maintain test design, specifications, runs, results, and compliance to requirements Troubleshoot test failures and investigate issues for root cause analysis Participate in process improvement activities Collaborate with developers, systems engineers, and product and project managers

Qualifications

Must-Have:

Degree in Geomatics/Electrical/Software Engineering/Computer Science or related technical field 3+ years of relevant industry experience including co-op experience will be considered Experience writing and debugging Python or C++ An inherent desire for producing high quality work and continuous improvement Strong communication skills, both oral and written Experience analyzing datasets  Valid class 5 driver’s license

Nice-to-Have:

Experience with:Knowledge and understanding of GNSS theory and principlesTest automation using Jenkins (CI/CD)Source control using Git and/or PerforceASPICE V&V process areasGNSS simulatorsISTQB Certification or similar
