Position: Report Developer – Senior
Location: Toronto, ON(Hybrid)
Duration: Months Contract + possible extension

Deliverables: Participate in reporting needs assessment to understand the functionality and design of the current operational reports in use Perform assessment, and define approach in collaboration with project team and stakeholder to migrate operational reports to appropriate CDT solution standard reporting features or to a Power BI tool (, Desktop or Report Builder) Perform design and development activities to migrate operational reports to Power BI in alignment with OPS Standards and Guidelines (, AODA, WCAG Level AA) Perform troubleshooting and apply corrective actions to resolve issues with migrated reports and dashboards discovered during pre-release testing Work with project team to provide relevant and required documentation to support migration activities and knowledge transfer Participate in knowledge transfer activities Mandatory Requirments: Demonstrated working knowledge of Power BI Desktop [At least years of experience] Demonstrated working knowledge of SQL query languages (T-SQL, PL-SQL) [At least years of experience] Demonstrated working knowledge of DAX programming (At least years of experience) Skills and Knowledge: Experience working in a business intelligence team/ environment, developing and delivering business intelligence and/or analytical reports and dashboards Experience working with Power BI Desktop, and Power BI Report Builder to design and develop reports and dashboards and work with team members to explore options to redesign outdated reports Experience writing and working with Microsoft Power BI DAX code to implement business logic within Power BI reports Experience performing troubleshooting of SQL queries, business intelligence and analytical reports, as well as performing data analysis to complete data validation and ensure report accuracy. Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Knowledge of ETL tools, such as Azure Data Factory, Microsoft SSDT. Technical Knowledge ( Points) Experience / demonstrated ability writing Transact-SQL (T-SQL) queries (at least years of experience) Experience / demonstrated ability working with Power BI Desktop, and Power BI Report Builder to design and develop reports and dashboards (at least years of experience) Experience / demonstrated ability writing DAX code, perform data modelling and implement functionality within Power BI reports and dashboards (at least years of experience) Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills ( Points) Experience / demonstrated ability to perform technical troubleshooting, specifically within a business intelligence environment / team or against reports, dashboards, and database queries such as Transact SQL (T-SQL) Experience / demonstrated ability to analyze data to resolve data quality issues and perform report validation Demonstrated experience working within a team environment to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems Ability to provide analysis, developing and implementing approved new / re-engineered business process standards. Communication Skills ( Points) Oral and written communication skills, interpersonal and consultative skills, facilitation skills Demonstrated experience working in a team environment, contributing to team meetings on work progress, communicating risks and issues, providing results from work assessments, and explaining technical tasks to non-technical team members Experience preparing documentation Must haves: Demonstrated working knowledge of Power BI Desktop [At least years of experience] Demonstrated working knowledge of SQL query languages (T-SQL, PL-SQL) [At least years of experience] Demonstrated working knowledge of DAX programming (At least years of experience)
