Position Overview

Carries out admission documentation procedures for patients/residents courteously, accurately and in accordance with established Health Centre policies and procedures.

Experience

One (1) year previous experience in registration is required or the successful completion of a recognized Health Access Admission course.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

Grade 12 with keyboarding speed of 55 wpm.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

It is recommended that, at minimum, staff possess the Family & Friends category of training.

Qualifications and Skills

Must be able to speak French at the predetermined linguistic level. Accurate, effective communication in English. Medical terminology and previous experience operating a computer terminal is required. Works within the Centre's core values, philosophy, vision, C.Q.I. goals, policies and procedures. Good interpersonal communication skills. Must be capable of functioning under stressful conditions. Assumes responsibility for ongoing education and participates in professional activities for personal and professional growth.

Qualifications et compétences

Aptitude à s’exprimer en français à un niveau linguistique prédéterminé. Communication précise et efficace en anglais. La terminologie médicale et une expérience antérieure de l'utilisation d'un terminal informatique sont nécessaires. Travailler conformément aux valeurs fondamentales, à la philosophie, à la vision ainsi qu’aux objectifs, aux politiques et aux procédures du programme d’amélioration continue de la qualité du Centre. Bonnes aptitudes à la communication interpersonnelle. Être capable de fonctionner dans des conditions stressantes. Assumer la responsabilité de la formation continue et participer à des activités professionnelles propices à l’épanouissement personnel et professionnel.
