AltaGas - Analyst, EHS Data Stewardship & Reporting
The EHS Data Stewardship Analyst is a Corporate based in the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) function, that establishes a single point of accountability for analytical and performance measurement data and for health & safety reporting. Trends, correlations, and learnings from analytic exercises are developed and delivered to stakeholders through best-in-class reports and presentations comprised of effective and compelling visuals and commentary.
You will:
On a reoccurring basis (e.g. monthly/quarterly/yearly) report on safety performance metrics and assess ongoing safety performance results to continually identify improvement opportunities and suggest corrective actions as required to achieve desired safety goals and objectives.On a quarterly basis lead the EHS Committee Boarding Reporting preparation with key stakeholders including Corporate Secretary, Corporate and Business EHS leadership, and other leadership to compile quarterly materials for presentation to the EHS Committee Board Members and Senior Leadership. Create, maintain, and update enterprise and business scorecards, dashboards, reports, and presentations with trending and analytical comparisons, creating and integrating data, tables, graphs, and interpretive commentary for internal and external use.Oversee Corporate EHS Governance related to data stewardship, including EHS metric definitions, EHS Key Performance Indicator Standards and supporting materials.Be confident using practices related to data stewardship, data modeling, and data integrity, collect, and manage stakeholder safety data (incident data, hours, mileage, observations etc.) and ensure traceability and auditability. Identify, investigate, and resolve quality issues found within data.Analyze incident and hazard management data captured within incident reporting and hazard assessment tools.Interact with key EHS Stakeholders to coach and assist in event and hazard reporting, categorization and risk/severity ranking and to ensure events are appropriately documented, investigations completed, and corrective actions tracked.Collaborate with key stakeholders (e.g., organize and facilitate discussions, working sessions) including field operations and other corporate teams to support corporate performance, integrated management system activities, and the resolution of identified health & safety management issues.Communicate information both written and verbal (e.g., presentations) to relay fact and analysis to varied levels of management and non-technical audiences.Ensure data is well-organized, accurate, and timely and follows industry best practicesThere is exposure to opportunities, outside of your regular accountabilities, to increase your knowledge, skills and abilities as well as help build your professional capability and reputationYou have:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field is an assetMinimum of 5+ years of experience in EHS and EHS reporting.Experience in KPI development, trending and benchmarking.Experience using Intelex applications is considered an asset.Skilled in collecting, combining a transforming raw data from multiple sources (SharePoint, excel/CSV files).Proven ability to relay findings and trends through well written corporate messaging.Take responsibility for varied assignments and work independently; effectively managing time, approaches to problems, and multiple work priorities.Aptitude for learning and understanding software systems, tools, and applications.Strong customer service skills in responding to requests, identifying opportunities, and anticipating the needs and concerns of stakeholders.Responsible for varied assignments and working independently; effective time management, approach to problems, and multiple work priorities.-
