Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Data Science Application Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data-driven applications, while working closely with our data scientists, software development team, and business stakeholders. Your focus will be on creating and managing high-quality web systems that align with user needs and business goals for internal and external clients.

Working with an energetic and hard working team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: 

Develop, and deploy machine learning applications for internal/external demonstrations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, new features. Managing development lifecycle and ensure the efficient and prompt release of new features to meet or exceed project timelines Collaborate with the design team to define and implement user interface and experience based on identified business requirements Convert machine learning models into APIs so that other applications can access them. Optimize existing solutions or web system for performance and scalability. Implement automated testing and validation procedures to ensure the accuracy and quality of web system. Stay current on emerging technologies in data science and Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest web technologies and industry trends.

What you will bring to the team:

5 years experience of data-driven or data visualization web system and RESTful API development Experience in cloud computing environment or platforms such as Azure Strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work on complex problems in a team environment. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Strong programming skills in Python and Python based web application development frameworks such as Flask, Django, data visualization and data science/machine learning libraries is a plus Experience in geo-spatial data processing and visualization is a plus General knowledge of full-stack development (backend, frontend and database) technologies, such as JavaScript, , Angular, , is a plus Experience in databases development, especially MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB is a plus Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or other related STEM fields, with strong understanding of data science and machine learning. A Master's degree is a plus
