SEO Specialist

Brandt is currently looking to fill a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist in our Regina, SK location.
The SEO Specialist will be responsible for managing all SEO activities for the organization. In this role, you will be responsible for driving organic traffic and improving search engine rankings for our websites. You will work closely with the content, web, and SEM/advertising teams to identify and prioritize SEO opportunities, and you will use your technical expertise and analytical skills to execute on those opportunities.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Search Engine Optimization
- Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion, and optimization.
- Implement solutions to increase organic traffic to Brandt’s websites.
- Collaborate with editorial and marketing teams to create high-quality, SEO-friendly web content.
- Optimize website content, including titles, tags, and meta descriptions, to improve search engine rankings and drive organic traffic
- Monitor and track website traffic and performance using tools such as Google Analytics.
- Identify and troubleshoot technical SEO issues, such as broken links, duplicate content, and crawl errors.
- Work with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code.
- Closely collaborate with team members in Marketing, Customer Experience, IT, Sales, & Operations.
- Assist international marketing colleagues in Australia and New Zealand on their SEO strategy, as required.
- Stay up to date with the latest SEO trends and best practices, and communicate those to the team.
- Local Search Optimization
- Optimize Brandt’s local search listings to maximize exposure to Brandt’s customers online and integrate well with Brandt’s paid search campaigns.
- Maintain Brandt’s local search listings on Google My Business, Apple Maps, Meta, Bing Maps, and other platforms as required.
- Collaborate with Brandt’s content marketing and branch teams to respond to reviews posted to Google My Business and other platforms as required.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by your manager.

Required Skills
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints is recommended.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Analytical skills - Keen interest and ability to conduct analysis of data and derive insight.
- Experience with CMS such as Kentico, WordPress, Drupal is an asset.
- Experience with Google Search Console is an asset.
- Attention to detail, customer-service orientated, and creativity in problem-solving is an asset.
Required Experience
- Preference given to a candidate with 2+ years of SEO experience in a similar role.
- In-depth experience with website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics) is required.
- Knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms is required.
