Job Description
The is looking for a Deputy Registrar to join our team for a part-time position (approximately 20 hours per week).
Reporting to the Registrar, the Deputy Registrar will provide strategic leadership to CPSS by developing and implementing policies and standards, overseeing assigned work areas and providing coverage and contingency planning for the Registrar. The Deputy Registrar will provide strategic leadership for competency, assessment and quality assurance while sharing responsibilities with the other Deputy Registrar for advisory services, external communications and inquiries, and support to Council.

Education/Experience
Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree Minimum 10 years of clinical experience Minimum 5 years of experience serving in a regulatory or administrative environment within the healthcare sector. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Knowledge/Skills Knowledge of best practices in leadership and ability to make difficult decisions. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization as well as outside the organization. Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, standards and practices. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with respect to physician and patient information. Ability to prepare complex medical submissions and proposals that effectively inform high-level decision-making. Strong emotional intelligence and maturity, and thrive on initiating, building and encouraging strong authentic relationships inside and outside the organization.
