Informatica developers, also known as ETL (extract, transform, load) developers,   design and maintain data storage systems and software applications based on the Informatica platform.   Their responsibilities include:  
  • Designing and developing:   Designing and developing Informatica applications, ETL/database/programming solutions, and Oracle procedures, functions, and packages  
  • Testing and troubleshooting:   Loading, testing, and troubleshooting data, and analyzing and testing data warehousing systems  
  • Integrating systems:   Integrating Informatica systems with a company's existing systems  
  • Supporting clients:   Providing support for software, product, and client needs addressed through the database systems  
  • Communicating:   Communicating with business users and other development teams  
  • Maintaining:   Providing support and maintenance for the application after deployment   Informatica developers work closely with business analysts and other stakeholders to understand the requirements of the application.
