GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: 

The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for Finished Goods Distribution Center Replenishment, Purchasing of PFR Purchasing and Replenishment for SKUs stocked at the CSW Distribution Centers. Key goal is to maintain inventory levels to meet sales order demand while achieving inventory DOI targets. This individual will effectively manage the placement and/or replenishment of a designated product category to maintain an in-stock standard while achieving planned turnover and revenue growth. Additionally, the Coordinator is responsible for . Supply Chain support, including but not limited to; reports generation, SAP data integrity and other as requested.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Evaluates finished product inventory DOI to goals for product stocked at Distribution locations other than the production site. Determines the required SKUs and quantities required to maintain DOI goals & service level goals. Creates the PO’s to replenish the various Distribution locations. Evaluates PFR product inventory DOI to goals for product stocked at Distribution locations other than the production site. Determines the required SKUs and quantities required to maintain DOI goals & service level goals. Creates the PO’s to replenish the various Distribution locations. Evaluates PFR product inventory DOI across the Distribution locations. Creates the procurement PO’s to replenish the various Distribution locations. Oversees, the transportation for replenishment PO’s. Expedites replenishment activities and coordinates expedited freight or stocking. Reviews PFR inventory levels in ., to avoid slow moving, obsolescence impact. Interacts with Demand planner’s with regard to sales forecasts and inventory levels for all CSW Distribution locations. Generates inventory, supply and SAP reports to assist with Supply Chain operations. Utilizes SAP and excel to assist with replenishment requirements determination. Reviews and maintains critical material master data related to PFR’s.  Assists S&OP Demand manager and Plant Schedulers in problem-solving and executing appropriate countermeasures for deviations from planned inventory levels. Conducts daily inventory analysis to solve inventory problems. Positions and maintain inventories, in such a way to balance customer fill rate, inventory carrying costs, efficient production scheduling and optimal transportation. Proactively communicate potential problems or issues impacting the business to appropriate departments. Provides backup and support for other Supply Chain functions, including reporting and basic analysis for the department. Tracks the flow of product from plants to the warehouse using SAP.  Investigates inconsistencies and reconciles them within the appropriate system to maintain inventory accuracy in the warehouse. Maintain a pro-active approach to identify potential problems. May investigate product availability in order to resolve issues to minimize shortages and delays due to other links in the supply chain. Monitors, investigates and corrects any web cycle variances on purchase order of PFR’s. Works on projects with the ability to analyze, present and implement new actions concepts towards cost reduction, service level improvement or supply process improvement. Works with the Plant Production Schedulers to comprehend the monthly production of safety stock or targeted finished goods inventories and coordinate replenishment. Communicates with Vendors to clarify requirements and PO’s placed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

. Degree in Materials Management, Supply Chain, or Procurement preferred. 2-4 years’ experience in inventory management, replenishment and purchasing.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

APIC certification preferred.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Detail-oriented Strong interpersonal, communication, and team-based skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities. Self-starter as well as a problem solver is a required asset. Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Strong math and language skills are critical for success. Passion for accuracy

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

Familiarity with email, and strong computer skills a must. Knowledge of SAP, spreadsheet and word processing software required (. Excel and Word). Strong knowledge of inventory management, replenishment, and purchasing. Must have a strong understanding of the Logistics dynamics. Multi-site inventory management a plus.

BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION:

The salary range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $60,530 and $75,650 plus a 10% bonus opportunity. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operations, needs, and other considerations permitted by law.
